Sound familiar?

01

A CMS that costs more every year for features you do not use

02

Content trapped in a format only one product can read

03

A previous migration that quietly cost you search rankings

04

Plugins holding the site together, each one a future security problem

05

Editors who avoid the admin panel because it fights them

06

No safe way to change the structure without breaking the live site

What we build for you

We map your existing content to a Directus data model, move it with the relationships intact, and put redirects in place so every URL that ranks today still resolves tomorrow.

Your URLs keep working

Every address that currently earns traffic gets a permanent redirect to its new home. This is the single most common way a migration destroys rankings, and it is entirely preventable.

Content moves with its relationships

Not a flat export. Categories, authors, media, translations and the links between them arrive intact, because a migration that loses structure is a migration you will redo.

A structure that is safe to change later

We publish an open-source extension for renaming collections and fields safely in Directus, because we needed it ourselves. Your model can evolve after launch without breaking relations and permissions.

Multilingual content handled properly

Per-language content with correct hreflang, so each language ranks in its own market instead of competing with itself.

A rehearsal before the real thing

We run the migration on a copy first and show you the result. You approve what you can see, rather than what we promise.

Nothing to rent afterwards

Directus is open source. Once you are on it, there is no per-seat licence and no plan to upgrade when you add a team member.

A migration to Directus makes sense if:

Your CMS licence or plugin costs keep climbing

You have content worth keeping and traffic worth protecting

Your editors work around the current system instead of with it

You need the content available to a website, an app, or both

You want to stop paying rent on your own data

How a migration runs:

01

We audit what you have: content types, volumes, integrations, and which URLs actually earn traffic

02

We design the Directus model your content maps onto, and confirm it with you

03

A fixed-price proposal covering the migration, the redirects and the launch

04

We migrate into a copy you can inspect, with the redirect map built alongside it

05

You review the real thing, and we correct what is not right

06

Launch, then we watch search performance for the weeks that matter

FAQ

Common questions about directus migration

Will this hurt our search rankings?

Done properly, it should not. Rankings are attached to URLs, so every URL that earns traffic gets a permanent redirect to its new address, and those redirects stay forever. Expect a few weeks of movement while search engines re-crawl — that is normal, and it settles. Anyone who promises you zero change is guessing.

What can you migrate from?

WordPress, Strapi, Contentful, Sanity, Airtable, a bespoke CMS, or a database with no CMS at all. If the content can be read programmatically, it can be moved. We tell you honestly if something is not worth migrating rather than charging you to move it.

Can we keep our current design?

Yes. A migration and a redesign are separate decisions, and doing both at once makes it much harder to tell what caused a change in traffic. We usually recommend moving first and redesigning after.

How long will the site be down?

It should not go down. We build the new system alongside the live one and switch over when it is ready and you have signed it off.

Tell us what you are on now and roughly how much content there is. We will tell you whether moving is worth it before quoting anything.
